にじゅうねんごの、わたしはいそがしいです。

わたしはおっととこどもがいます。わたしたちはニューヨークのちかくにいます。わたしたちのうち/アパートはきれいですが、あまりおおきくありません。

わたしのおしごとはおもしろいです。そしてたおしいです。わたしはすきなおしごとがありますから、おしごとはたのしいです。もうだいがくをでした。でもわたしのせいかつはおしごとだけじゃありません。やすみに、ともだちとあそびます。いまゴルフがだいすきですから、にじゅうねんごにもゴルフをします。しゅうまつに、いろいろなほんをよみます。

おくりびと(Departures)はとてもおもしろいえいがです。The movie follows a professional cello player named Daigo Kobayashi who returns from Tokyo to his hometown in the Japanese countryside and becomes a funeral director. In the process of acknowledging death everyday, he finds closure for his past, and develops a stronger understanding of what life is and what it is about. The audience follows Daigo and witnesses his journey as he offers peace to the families of those who have departed, while growing peaceful himself through his new profession. おくりびと is a beautifully sensitive movie with wonderful attention to detail and character development, which offers insight into our experiences and how we create meaning in our lives.

わたしのスケジュール

まいあさろくじにおきます。それからあさごはんをたべます。いつもコーヒーをのみます。がっこでごぜんじゅうじからごごろくじまでならいます。それからうちへかえります。ごごしちじにばんごはんをたべます。まいばんにほんごをべんようします。ごごじゅういちじにねます。

It has been approximately 4 weeks since I have started studying Japanese. The decision to study this was based on various factors. When, as a child, I learned karate and judo from a Japanese sensei, I had gained an appreciation for Japanese culture and a very small familiarity with the language (to be exact, a few terms related to karate and judo, and the numbers 1-10). Now, taking Japanese class in college, my appreciation for the language and culture has continued to grow. Throughout the semester, I look forward to gaining even more knowledge of Japanese, and learning how to properly respect the language and culture of Japan.
